ESU #9 Toddler Play Groups

All children under the age of three who are verified through the multidisciplinary diagnostic process receive services at home or at their child care providers home or center.

In addition, in order for children to have a social experience after they have reached the age of two, or when they are ready for social experience, a toddler playgroup is held once a week for an hour and a half.  The staff for the toddler playgroup includes an early childhood special education teacher, a speech and language pathologist and a para educator.  Often the physical and/or occupational therapist will also attend the toddler playgroup to help a specific child.
