CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate)

CASA trains volunteers to be advocates for children in court because of abuse or neglect. The volunteers are appointed by the judge to be guardian ad litem for these children.

They report to the judge any information they have gathered about the case so the court can make a decision on what is best for the child.

All services are free to children. The CASA program has gone to the judges to put Early Head Start in the case plans for families involved in their program.
